"Gods Grace and Plan" Victor Ly's Story

Victor was one of the first to attend our adult open sessions. The Cypher Spot was a stepping stone and turning point for him and his relationship with The Lord. God has done an amazing work in his life leading up to this point. Read more about his story below.

"I grew up in a Buddhist household; however, the God of the Bible was calling me at an early age. He had a plan for me to follow and serve Him. In early 2019, I started attending The Cypher Spot’s weekly dance sessions. Though I was currently involved at a church, I wrestled with much doubt and depression, and instead of running to the Lord, I chose to suppress doubts and emotions by abusing drugs.

In the middle of 2020, God used The Cypher Spot to help transform my life, encourage sobriety, and also guide my girlfriend (now wife) and I surrender our lives to Him. Eventually, we both decided to get baptized at Christ Alone Fellowship Church.

For nearly six years, I’ve seen The Cypher Spot’s Gospel-centered impact on others and am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to share this gift of dance and help lead community outreach events."

Victor still volunteers his time volunteering as a ministry partner at The Cypher Spot and also serves as a worship leader at Christ Alone Fellowship Church! He is also currently pursuing a Bachelors in Theology at Metro Baltimore Seminary. Through the seeds that were planted in previous years by The Cypher Spot, God has made and is making a generational impact on Victor’s family and on those whom he serves!
